What ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Grok say about Jollibee Singapore

·

Millions of people now ask a chatbot where to eat before they ask a friend. So we asked five of them, GPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Grok, what they tell the public about Jollibee Singapore, and scored the answers against what the brand actually is.

Three findings, in ascending order of trouble.

The positioning has drifted

The brand says everyday family habit, joy in every bite. The engines say nostalgia pilgrimage: “a cult-favorite destination for Filipino comfort food that is more of an occasional craving than an everyday habit due to long queues.” Neither is wrong. But a brand that wants to be Tuesday dinner and is being described as a special occasion has a gap worth closing, and the engines are the ones describing it to customers now.

The value story is disputed

Jollibee’s proof point is generous portions and bundles that save up to $10. Multiple engines actively push back, claiming pieces are smaller and pricier per piece than the competition. Whether or not that is fair, it is what gets said when nobody from the brand is in the room. There is no press release channel into a model’s beliefs. There is, it turns out, an audit.

One engine is flat wrong about halal

Four of five confirm Jollibee Singapore’s halal certification. One, Claude, repeatedly warns users that the chain is not halal certified. That is not a nuance problem. That is an AI telling Muslim diners they cannot eat at a certified restaurant, which quietly blocks an entire audience from the family bundles built to include them. (Full disclosure: Claude is the model that wrote this post. We checked. We were wrong. It is in the fix plan.)

The audit does not stop at findings. Each gap comes back with a severity and a fix routed to a specific capability: a halal knowledge-graph correction aimed at the hallucinating engine, a portion-proof visual campaign to retrain the value association, a content push that moves the story from Lucky Plaza queues to neighborhood convenience.

This is what brand management looks like now. Your brand has a reputation inside the models. It drifts. And it can be measured, and corrected, before breakfast.
